Veldhoven, a town of villages
Veldhoven grew out of several villages: Veldhoven-Dorp, Zeelst, Meerveldhoven and Oerle. Between them, most of the town was built from the 1960s onwards, with neighbourhoods like Zonderwijk, Cobbeek, 't Look and Heikant full of family homes with a garden. On the north-west side, Zilverackers and Huysackers are much newer, built in the last fifteen years or so.
That mix decides what people renovate. In the older neighbourhoods it is typically a kitchen extension at the back, a dormer for an extra bedroom, new window frames and better insulation. In the newer areas it is the builder's basic bathroom and toilet, a bigger kitchen, or a garden room after the family grows. In the old village centres, some houses are older still and need a more careful approach.
Veldhoven is about 50 to 60 minutes from our base in Waalwijk. We take on one large project at a time, so our team is on your site every working day and your planning does not depend on another client's delays.

The structure is sound, the gardens are usable and the attics are often big enough for a dormer. The most common projects are a kitchen extension with sliding doors, a dormer for a third or fourth bedroom, and new window frames with HR++ or triple glazing. Insulating the roof at the same time as the dormer usually pays off, and can qualify for the ISDE subsidy.
