Tilburg's houses, from Oud-Zuid to the Reeshof
Tilburg grew as a textile city, and that history still shapes its houses. Around the centre and in Oud-Zuid, near the Wandelbos and the Armhoefse Akkers, you find narrow, deep houses from the 1920s and 1930s, often with an old rear annex that was added later. They have charm and a lot of hidden work: old wiring, old pipes and walls and floors without insulation.
West of the centre is the Reeshof, one of the largest post-war expansion areas in Brabant, built from the 1980s onwards. The houses there are family homes that are now 25 to 40 years old: ready for a new kitchen and bathroom, better insulation and often more space. To the east, Berkel-Enschot and Udenhout have a village character with larger plots and detached houses.
From Waalwijk we are in Tilburg in about 25 minutes. We take on one large project at a time, so your renovation gets our full attention.
